Opera is launching its new Opera One browser on iOS after weeks of testing. The updated browser now has a search bar at the bottom for easier access, quick search suggestions while you type, and a handy AI assistant named Aria.
The default layout includes the new search bar at the bottom, but you can switch to a different style if you prefer. You can also swipe down to bring up the search bar, similar to how you use Spotlight search.
When you type in the search box, Opera now offers extra autocomplete options to make your search faster. The browser also hides the top and bottom bars when you scroll, giving you a full-screen view, and the top bar’s color matches the website’s theme.

The new newsfeed has been replaced with a carousel view that shows personalized news, live scores, and product tips.
Aria, Opera’s AI assistant, now has voice input and can create images. Since its launch in May 2023, it’s been added to the iOS version in August 2023.
According to Sensor Tower, Opera has been downloaded over 50 million times on iOS since 2020. While growth slowed in recent years, downloads surged by 122% in the EU in Q2 2024 due to new regulations that require iOS to offer a choice of browsers.
