Tanzanian rap legend Madonjo, who was a key figure in BongoFlava music, has tragically passed away. Madonjo, known for hits like “Give Me,” “Wanok Nok,” and “Dingi,” was mistakenly identified as a thief and beaten to death in Dodoma.

This heartbreaking news was confirmed by fellow musician Anselm Tryphone, also known as Soggy Doggy. He expressed his deep sorrow on social media, saying, “My heart is in great pain, I will miss you very much, my brother and my friend. Rest in peace, Madonjo. Life on this earth is very short. Sorry to his brothers, relatives, and friends. My condolences to my brother @domokayatz, God’s work has no mistakes.”
